Ion Machines has developed considerable experience in electrical engineering design including such things as: Digital Design ( including FPGA design ), Analog design, System Design.
We approach each new problem by using cutting edge modeling techniques and understanding the sensor physics to eliminate noise and clutter from signals of various kinds. Additionally, we have a fair amount of experience in using multi-sensor techniques to improve the accuracy of the systems we design. For instance, we have used multi-channel techniques to greatly improve the accuracy and long-term reliability of existing systems at only a very modest per unit cost increase.
One of our newest efforts lies in designing aspherical optical and UV systems that include both adaptive free-form surfaces and computational technicques to correct for chromatic and spherical aberations.
Additionally, we are developing expertise in ultra-precise lens assembly technologies to achieve demanding image quality and to achieve perfect stress resistance. In this project we've also made use of expertise in small form factor hardware design which may be of interest in new applications.
